  • Graduated Spelman College May 1963 at the age of 20
  • Golden Life (50 Years) Member of the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College May 2013

This scholarship is dedicated in the memory of our beloved sister.

Annual Book Scholarship

Each year at our Christmas Social, we celebrate and support our students by awarding Book Scholarships to those from our service area — stretching from Baton Rouge to North Louisiana. The scholarship amount varies each year based on the funds we raise and the number of students who join us. Students must be present at the event to receive their award, so we hope you’ll come, connect, and let us celebrate you!

SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS - DONATE TODAY

Each year, our chapter awards the Dorothy Stepteau Memorial Scholarship for academic excellence, service, and leadership, along with Book Scholarships to help students purchase essential textbooks. We support Spelman students from Baton Rouge through North Louisiana—and your generosity makes it possible.
